Imazethapyr is a systemic, selective herbicide used as pre- and early post-emergent weed control in soybean, groundnut, pulses, sugarcane, maize, and other leguminous crops. It inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS), affecting amino acid synthesis in weeds.
